Default Another wheel fitment question...

I know I have seen it on here somewhere, but couldn't find it when looking again.
My question: do you see any potential problems running a 275/30/19 on the front, with a 305/30/20 on the back? Is this ratio to far off? thanks in advance for any help!

You should be fine, with that combo. Before I replaced my tires a few months ago, my car had 275/30/19 fronts and 295/35/19 rears and never had any issues.
275/30/19 = 25.6"
295/35/19 = 27.1"
305/30/20 = 27.2"

They should fit, but the extra size and mass may make your car feel sluggish. Just be aware...

I went up 1” diameter from stock in the front and rear with the same widths as you. I can tell a big difference in dynamics with the bigger sizes. I run smaller sizes at the track for that reason.

I went smaller from what I was running before and couldn't tell a bit of difference.

Unsprung weight makes a hell of a difference. Going from stock C5 wheels to 18s and 19s with 275 and 305 widths added at least 5lb per corner on my car. If you can't feel the difference of 20lbs+ of unsprung weight, I can’t help you...

To be honest the wheels I went to are a used set of Iforged Aero wheels. The wheels, though larger, actually feel physically lighter than the stock 99' wagon wheels on my FRC when I lift them in and out of my truck. I am actually taking them back off though, because I don't like the steering feel of the much wider tire up front in parking lots and such. Down the road is just great. Probably doesn't hurt that there are new tires all the way around. It looks totally cool, but I bought it to drive, not just look cool. I know there are other people on the forum running these sizes, and love it, it just isn't for me. Live and learn. They will be going up for sale later this weekend. Thank you for your input! Mike

Thought I’d use this thread since it concerned wheel sizing. I’m looking at a set of wheels from OE wheels and they are a set of 17 and 18 inch wheels. The fronts are 17x9.5 with an offset of 54 and the rears are 18x10.5 with offset of 56. They have a back spacing of 7.3. I will be running stock size tires. Will these wheels give me any issues. I would have liked to have gotten an 18 and 19 inch set so I could get the big brakes later down the road but they don’t make them in this style I guess.

Those are oem C5Z specs so they will fit fine, on your car.

Ok from years of experience----in order to make your ABS brakes work as designed you must never alter the tire heights from front to rear very far from the stock set up-----The stock set up is the rears are 1" taller than the fronts----If you alter this 'split" your ABS brakes will not work as designed AND this is NOT tunable as it is bulit into the ABS controller and cannot be changed-----It's up to you and your safety----- In road racing I think that braking is far more important than anything else such as tracttion that can be diver controlled JMHO
