Rocker Panel Removal
I took it to a body shop and they said that the rear quarter and rear bumper would need to be removed if I swapped in a new rocker. Is this true?
Thanks
Talk to 2KVetteman. He damaged his rocker panel too and has a good estimate on the repairs. He's local (Irvine) so you may benefit on the bodyshop he is having his car fixed.

First place wanted to put on a new rocker panel, paint and match for a total of $1019.49. They seemed like a great shop, Porches, Prowlers all over the place.
Autobahn Autobody (714) 641 - 1107
Second place Specialty Body Works, Inc (714) 557-0780 they actually brought out the owner and he inspected the panel. He said I can fix it without replacing it. $419.96 :yesnod:
Third place through El Monte Chevrolet (626) 456- 8100 , they want $560.00. And that is also without replacing the panel and just fixing the current one.
The second guy that quoted me $419.96 I actually believe him because he told me I can fix it because you have no pieces missing, It is just cracked and have a deep scratch.
You are getting quoted to high. They are smoking something and that usually means they never worked on a vette before or they know they can get your insurance company.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
