Pop the hood and spin the motor by hand. Is there play in the mechanism? Grinding? Is it catching?
When you drive at night, does one your headlights jitter up and down?
TBH if one of my headlights popped up / down slower than the other, but both worked reliably with no play ... I'd just live with it.
