Would greatly appreciate any input from you guys. Do I need a Dyno tune after the ls6 intake swap? Does it mess passing SMOG here in Cali?
But wait! There's more!
We also have the air system you mentioned. This has a vacuum line running from the air pump (bottom driver side in bumper) running all the way across the front of the car, back across the passenger side frame into a spot near the PCM (passenger fender well) onto a series of T and right angle connections that go to a vacuum canister. Then there is the AC system. That vacuum line runs from the passenger side firewall grommet (coming in from the many lines inside the dashboard from the vacuum-controlled vents), to underneath the battery tray, and meets the Air Pump System's line into the PCM spot. They meet and join at that canister. There is also another line that goes from this canister to the back of the intake manifold: the main source of vacuum and why leak codes are formed.
All those lines are a hard very brittle plastic that break over time. Any of those connections, (probably totaling 15 feet of it, including ANY of the connections in the dash) can break in one or more spots and cause vacuum leak codes, like the P0410. To add to this, most of the lines are wrapped up in electrical wires, underneath a conduit, and electrical tape.
