Default Timing chain - Cog Removal / Install

What is the right way to replace the Cog on the crank for the timing chain set?

The Kent-Moore J41558 tool that goes behind the sprocket is used for removal. See photos. Then a puller is used for removal.

Kent-Moore tool is the half square at the top of the photo.

Installation uses another Kent-Moore (J41665-1) tool and a threaded rod to push it onto the crank. I used this same setup without the Kent-Moore tool to press on the harmonic balancer. I bought both of these tools, installation and removal, off of fleabay for a pretty reasonable cost.

Kent Moore tool to fully remove, or to break loose and then use pulley puller?

Install - what tool is that with the giant socket looking attachment? Edit: Nm. Your awesome second post came in as I was writing.

There are a few 3 finger pullers that will work, you need to use a bolt or shim in the crank snout so you don't damage the threads

The Kent-Moore tool will fully remove. I used a harmonic balancer/steering wheel puller rather than the Kent-Moore tools in the service manual. I had this tool as it is needed to remove my ATI harmonic balancer.
