Default Differential Drain Plug Washers

I'm getting ready to replace the differential fluid on my 1999 FRC.
I was thinking it would be a good idea to replace the washers while I'm at it, but I've not had much luck finding replacements.
I believe the originals were L-shaped in cross-section but they don't seem to be available.
I've read that the washers for the C6 differential drain plugs will work. Is that correct?
Is there another washer I can substitute or can I use reuse the existing ones if they're intact?
It looks like I can buy a C5 replacement plug that comes with a thick, flat washer. Would that be the guaranteed-not-to-leak option?
Thanks for any help,

dan k.

If it's reusable that's fine with me.
Thanks, Bill

My experience is the same as Bill's. I've never replaced one, and I've never had one leak.

Funny Story and lessons learned:

When you drain the Diff, the seal usually sticks to the diff housing and when you are not looking falls into the drain pan. Then you say, Where the hell did the seal go, spend an hour looking for it or,, then go buy one and when you pour the old fluid out, you find it.

ALWAYS remove the fill plug FIRST! If you cant get it out, after you drain it, you are in trouble!

Listen for a slight IN RUSH of air when you remove the plug. If you have a slight vacuum in the diff when it cools down, the vent is working as designed.
