Anyone Experience Column Lock with 2000 - 2004 Automatic Trans
Just started learning about some of the common C5 failure points. I have a 2002 with an automatic transmission (U.S. car). The Compliance Parts website says my car is not in the series where the column lock issues occur, Do I need to worry about column lock issues, or "Pull Key Wait 10 Seconds", or 2 mph fuel cutoff? I guess my real question would be - has anyone with a 2001 2000 - 2004 with A4 transmission experienced this and do I need to buy and install the LMC5 module?
I have had absolutely no issues yet but I've only owned the car a year or so. My car has 51,000 miles on it right now.
Thank you for advice you guys can offer.

Reason: had wrong information
I have a 2000 with an auto. I installed the lmc5 because I know that I wouldnt have a problem with the column lock until
I were away from home , out with someone, getting off of work, 100 degree day with no tools and I would be Fxxked
so for 50.00 I wont have that problem
If you have a 2002 with A4 no need to worry only the manuals retains the lock feature these later years from 2001- later i think it was the wheel lock was removed.
I had the 2mph shut off and 'pull key and wait', message on my 2000 A4. I did the compliance bypass. No issues since. My car had the column lock disabled from the dealer (steering wheel turns without the key on) .
So I goofed when I asked the original question. According to Compliance 1997 - 2000 years with the A4 are susceptible to column lock / 2 mph fuel cutoff issues. So like some of you already said the 2001 to 2004 A4's (mine being a 2002) are OK. Just wanted to correct my post so no one else has bad info.
