Default Which PAG oil for 2001 C5?

Finding conflicting info about which PAG oil to use! New compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube. Getting ready to install, did I mention it's getting hot down here in Alabama! So anyway what is the correct PAG oil to use 46 or 150?

I haven't done this on mine, but have on my Jeep - If you are using an aftermarket compressor, use the oil that the compressor manufacturer recommends.

Getting ready to do this job as well on an 01. I think I read that GM made a SPECIAL 46 that you could use, but regular 46 wouldn't work. 150 is correct from what I can find.

Be careful. If you replace the compressor, you really should replace the receiver dryer and FLUSH all the other lines clean The receiver dryer is where any excess oil the system doesn't need collects. I agree, use what the compressor manufacture recommends with ALL NEW OIL and the correct oil amount.
