I unplug it unless I'm just running into a store or something else quick. That's the only negative thing I have found about this device. I would like to research what it would take to make that 12v outlet 'switched' ignition power instead of always hot.
Mine powers down after a while when you turn the car off. (different model but very similar)
Several C5-specific options available from Discount Car Stereo - I installed theC5HD-HF in mine but I have the remote 12-disc changer that is required for that particular item. https://www.discountcarstereo.com/?t...&including=all
I started out with the bluetooth to FM cigarette lighter plug gizmo from Amazon - and while it did work, the audio quality was ridiculously poor. With the C5CD-HF, I get amazing audio from Pandora, etc. Well worth the expense.

where did you put the dime-sized mic/button? and how good is the call quality?
thanks in advance!

The dime-size button is really more like a quarter-sized button. I ended up mounting it between the center console lid and the active handling switch - I chose that because it's easy to access the button while driving and I could route the wire there without a lot of gymnastics and of course didn't have to drill any holes.
Audio quality on calls with the microphone is really not usable when you're driving - but I'm in an '03 Vert which is a little louder than a coupe I think.
