2000 corvette window regulator

When the door is open the window goes up and down fine no noise.. Close the door and halfway down I get a popping noise. Thought I had it fixed whenIi had the panel off and was putting the window up and down with no noise. I am going to take the panel off and close the door and see if it is the panel or something else when the door is closed just wanted to see if anyone has run into this problem. If the regulator is bad are the GM regulators better than aftermarket . I am sure they are but the price is 4x the aftermarket.

I replaced my drivers window regulator with an OEM about 2 years ago...no issues !!...with an aftermarket you... “get what you pay for” !!...your choice !!!

2000 Corvette window regulator.

Thanks I will buy GM if it is the regulator.
