After much shopping around I found better deals on both run flats and standard tires on the net and in Mid America. I had just about decided to buy tires from Tire Rack and started checking around looking for a qualified installer in my area. I was hearing horror stories about poeple that had unqualified mechanics mount their tires and having pressure sensors going off and on at intermittent times. There was no pressure problem. Also heard stories about wheel damage occuring. After considering all of that I took my Mid America catologue into the Goodyear store and asked them if they would be willing to match the price in the cataloge. Their eyes got big  when they saw a nearly $500 difference in price but once they subtracted what they would charge to mount my "Mid America" tires we arrived at a $1,500 price which included the factory EMT's mounting and balancing by a mechanic qualified for the work who did not damage my wheels. They came down about $300 off their retail price. So bring your cataloge or internet deals to the dealer and some of them will work with you. Good Luck!

I have never paid more than 50.00 to replace and balance new tires. Look for a Custom Wheel Shop, that does good work !! Also, even with shipping charge, internet mail orders always come out much cheaper and NO sales tax is always attractive on such a large purchase.
I bought my firestones from Canada and had goodyear mount and balance them. total cost including everything was just over $1000 ($1024 i believe) :yesnod:
I've done this a few times, only I brought in a Discount Tire national ad into a Discount Tire store. After some complaining that they wouldn't be making money, they matched the price + a few bucks.

where in Canada did u buy them from? i'm looking to replace my tires as well
I just bought replacement tires GY F1SC for my Z from TireRack and it was $1,111 delivered to my door.....My dealer will mount and balance and do a 4 wheel alignment for $120.... :D
I had a terrific experience with my Firestones purchased from Tire Rack and installed by one of their recommended shops. I saved over $200.00 from local Firestone shop and complete total out the door was $1171.00 and I asked for 2 day delivery. My sensors work and there is absolutely no vibration and none of my wheels were scratched. And I was treated like I had purchased tires there. This was one of the best car accessory buying experiences I've ever had. Absolutely painless and above expectation for a change.
Also, love the quietness and smoothness of the tires so far. :D
