I couldn't fine much info on this..the vararam works great up top with good air, but what about 90 plus and high humidity? How much Timing is this pulling in around town driving? Thanks.

Well I'd guess that pulling in 90 degrees and high humidity from outside is still better than the speculated higher temperature and less oxygenated air from the engine bay. Better in the sense of power and timing reduction around town and especially at higher speeds. The non-Z06 stock intakes were very restrictive.

I recently monitored the air intake temperatures with a vararam and the stock C5 intake on my C5. Temperatures were in the mid 80's. With the stock intake, once moving the temps were 1 to 2 degrees above ambient air temperature. With the vararam the temperature was 1 degree below the ambient air temperature. Either air intake read 10 to 20 degree's higher than ambient temps after stopping for awhile. The vararam seemed to come back to abient a little quicker than the stock intake. So it appears to me that the stock air intake is not really that bad as far as air intake temperatures.

When I installed mine, it pulled in so much more air that it was running lean. I needed to have it re-tuned.

I had a Dyno tune done. It's more accurate to the application.
