I have a few days of so I was gonna work on the Vette a little (change spark plugs, other stuff here and there etc.) when I decided to tackle those squeaky visors I've been saying that I'll get around to. Well, I removed them as per the directions on the tech tips page and then instead of opening them I did as follows:
1) After removing the visor, get a can of some WD-40.
2) Put the red straw they give you in the little opening in the visor elbow (thats the part that allows the visor to swing back and forth.
3) Sparingly spray the WD-40 as you slowly pull the straw out.
4) Start to manuever the visor up and down and shake it around.
5) Spray some WD-40 on the top of the vanity mirror both while closed and open. (After a few seconds wipe away the excess.)
6) Put the visor back.
After you do this you won't hear a peep from those suckers.
Atleast thats one less noise you have to worry about. :D
