So my '02 corvette just developed a battery drain issue. After letting it sit for at least two weeks, I drove it around town on 4th of July weekend and there was no issue with the battery. I try to start it up today and it doesn't start at all. Pull the battery out and it is at 2.5 V. I already found two useful threads on battery drain issues, so I know what to start tracking down.
Since this just started happening, is there something that is more likely to be the culprit? I don't remember anything happening over 4th of July weekend that would be causing this.
This car already has some issues that I am working through. Rear tire pressure sensor is out. The ABS/traction control is not working. The fuel sensor gauge only works with more than half a tank. And I have likely have a vacuum pump or 02 sensor problem I noticed from the OBDII (P0410). All of these problems existed before the new battery drain problem.
Most likely culprits are seat control module, Bose audio system, headlight control module, possible interior light staying on, and your BCM module especially if it's ever gotten wet. Good hunting.
