The day before yesterday I went out for an afternoon ride and, about a mile away from my house, the DIC told me to service the traction control system and service vehicle soon. The Traction control light came on...you know the drill.
Nothing seemed "off" while I was driving it so I pulled into the nearest parking lot and performed a "hard reboot" (shut it off and started it again). The messages went away and the traction control light was didn't come on. It hasn't happened again, but just in case, I want to make sure that this isn't a precursor to something going SPECTACULARLY wrong.
I pulled my codes and this is what came up:
28-TCS:
C-1287-H (I'm assuming this is the culprit)
When the 1287 popped up in my 03 vert it was the SWPS that was faulty. I had it replaced and all is well.
It's a $700 or more fix unless you do it yourself.
Lots of info about it online.
Good luck!
