98 coupe needs computer flashed
Hello everyone! I have a 98 coupe that had a new bcm installed and needs to have the computer flashed to read the vin number. Dealerships are not much help, does anyone have a recommendation? From what I understand, it needs to have a tech II to flash the system so the system recognizes itself. I assume a typical tune will not solve this issue correct? I have a code in the dic that shows 58-sdm no comm.

Why don't you do the HAND SHAKE that will get the two to communicate. Its EASY and FREE:
1. Turn on the key for 11 minutes.
2 Turn off the key for 30 seconds.
3. Repeat 1&2 two more times.
4. Turn on the key for 30 seconds.
You better have a GOOD battery or put the battery on a charger!
