Do I need a trans brace?

power levels are mild. intake, long tubes, BTR stage 3 cam, stock 831 heads.
Do i need a brace and is it easier to do while it's all apart? no drag racing. back roads and autox.

DID I need it.. Better SAFE than SORRY. It went in like a glove!
On ANOTHER NOTE, I also, up-graded the MN12 trans to a Transzilla T60/60 with a hardened output shaft and I did a DYI up-grade to the differential with C6 ZO6 Output Shafts, Limited Slip Clutches, C6 ZO6 Belleview Springs and new seals.
IF,,,,,,,,,, You up-grade to WIDER more sticky tires, the things above become a LOT more important. The tires are the drive trains FUSE. The bigger fuse you install, and the more power you pour to it, SOMETHINGS going to POP sooner than later if all isn't up to the task.
If its just a piece of mind thing than that's just what it is, but,,, it seems like its working EXCELLENT so far!!
