97 automatic, I can feel a buzz with my feet, don`t know if its tires, brakes, bearing or drive train, I know its not engine or accessories, any ideas where to start looking?
You need to provide more details. Where are you feeling the buzzing, floor, pedals, both? Does it change with speed, RPM, coasting, accelerating, steady speed, etc?
If I had to guess, it being a 97, and knowing what I know about how the Torque Tube for that/those year/s 97-2000 is constructed and how the RUBBER COUPLERS that connect the front and rear shafts together, and all the deterioration that I've see with those rubber couplers,,, I would say that you most likely have a bad TT Coupler/s or a bearing/s inside the TT going bad.
Is it worse under heavy acceleration??
I agree with 3saACROWD! Do some experimentation with different driving and conditions.
the buzzing has been there since I bought it 5 years ago, but very faint, now 20k miles later its getting very noticeable, and it hard to find a pattern, some times I feel no change in the buzzing in the gas pedal, no matter what speed.
I have a 99 coupe that also has a vibration but only occurs once I get around 80 mph. I have replaced brake pads, rotors, shocks, swaybars, swaybar bushings, and am getting ready to replace wheels. I'm having to just continue to work through things until I figure out what it is. I would assume that a vette would be smooth well past 100, but once it starts, it becomes a little unnerving. I haven't really thought about the torque tube, so will have that investigated. I plan on getting new tires soon as well in case there is a broken belt in one of the tires. Keep us posted once you determine what it is.

I really noticed it when doing 75 the other day. now its more at every speed, going to have the guy that I buy tires from check it out and eliminate tires and brakes.
I have a bit of a shimmy in the wheel from 70-80mph. Just had a road force balance done along with a new alignment and suspension inspection. I was told at this point it's likely a torque tube coupler.
