Diff needle bearing
This has happened twice in a month on two different diffs. Also swapped the u-joint driveshaft in between the diff change as a precaution.
What could cause the bearing to come loose and what cure do you recommend??
I live in Sweden and dont have so many around here to ask if you know what I mean (Volvo land).
if you have a good solution please let me know

Could you provide a little information with regards to the car you're having the problem with? I'm talking about the year, automatic or manual transmission, info like that.

SPOT ON!!!!
100% The problem that you are experiencing is most likely the result of broken belleview springs in the limited slip clutch packs and very worn clutches. the differential output shafts will wobble with out proper clutch pack preload which is the job of the clutch pack belleview.Try this:
Jack ONE rear wheel off the ground. Put the trans in Neutral and the emergency brake OFF. Use a torque wrench and attempt to rotate that rear wheel clock wise using the rear wheel spindle nut. You should see somewhere in the vicinity of 40-60 foot pounds of torque. Then do the exact same procedure on the other rear wheel. The most important part is both wheels should be very close in torque readings and not extremely low.
If you have very low readings or very different readings from side to side, You need to replace the clutches and belleview springs. That's where the C6 ZO6 parts come into play. Direct bolt in replacement parts that are much stronger. Replacing those parts does NOT disturb the differential critical set up. The C6 parts replace both output shafts, both springs and all the clutches. During the procedure you replace both output shaft seals side cover O rings and the O ring between the trans and differential.
