C5 flexplate
Now they make adapter ring that helps old style torque converter snout fit LS flexplate center hole.
What are these extra bolts on this?
Is this a extra plate bolted to flexplate for balance reasons?
Edit, I realize that may be for the driveshaft in torque tube to bolt to, not sure if torque converter is at transmission or flexplate.

Only want a C5 LS1, no ugly truck 4.8 5.3 or 6.0 with tall intake, and no Camaro/trans am LS1, the C5 assembly looks best with the alternator and front accessories, and Corvette fuel rail covers, it's just what I want.
The truck is a old beater short fleetside, big rear window custom cab (think truck muscle car/beater/driver) probably will never get paint and body, but if it is a driver and runs good that's all I care about.
Someone reached out to me on truck forum and offered me 1200 bucks for my complete 396 big block 396 (1968 C10 310 HP 400 FT pounds, optional on 1968 C10 trucks) that is currently in my truck.
I got this big block and rebuilt TH400 in 2003 out of a 1974 C10 I bought just for the engine and transmission, the 1974 C10 was a factory 454, according to emissions sticker, so I thought it was a 454.
It wasn't until about 2010 or so I decoded engine as a 1968 396 from a pickup, originally my plan was to rebuild the 454 into a 496 stroker, but once I found out it was the "baby rat 396" I lost interest.
The guy that reached out has a 1968 C10 and wants to have that 396 to upgrade his truck, doubtful numbers matching, but might be cool to him.
Didn't have the engine advertised, however he read I'm interested in LS swap from years ago, and sent me a message.
I was thinking if they would give me 1500, and I bought a used complete C5 LS1 for 3000, it would only cost me 1500 bucks.
I realize there are some conversion stuff but engine assembly is biggest price.
The 396 runs decent but has a cam of some sort, and stinky exhaust, has the old SBC/BBC issue with hard to start after warm up, I would like consistent starts not having to cross my fingers.
The stinky exhaust gets old, gets in clothes and doesn't leave until they are washed, so drive truck, go home take those off.
I realize a used LS1 is a risk, but I'm willing to take it, some have videos on YouTube showing car start up before removal.
