What is this system/hose?

Good afternoon!

I’ve been trying to do some research but cannot find the correct terminology for whatever this hose (or system) is so I can do research on it.. it connects to the driver side of the intake manifold. I’m unable to trace it back and see where it goes because the car is about a hundred miles away from me right now. I’ve outlined it in yellow in the image below!

fuel tank evap. system (should lead to a plastic hose/pipe on the firewall)

get rid of it, by the looks of your car I don't think you care about it or need it and it would definitely clean things up a bit

Evap system...goes from intake manifold to a Evap purge solenoid (pictured) !!
