This past weekend my grandson and I changed out the brakes on my 2002 Z06 track car. Everything seemed to go according to plan. We reassembled everything and he took it for a test drive. Came back scratching his head saying that there are two error messages showing up on the dash. Low brake fluid - yes we filled the MS and bled out the lines, and service traction control system.
Prior to changing out the brakes there were no error messages on the dash. So any thoughts ? I am sure we must have done something wrong somewhere along the way, but not sure what......
Nice Stable by the way! Anyway yeah I have seen these types of errors crop up every so often. In my situation, I actuated the ABS several times after a brake job therefore it cycled the fluid some. Have you checked it subsequently? I wouldn't be surprised if it was low, can easily trigger ABS errors.
Thanks for checking in. Yes I have checked the fluid several times and it seems to be maintaining the proper level in the Master Cylinder.
I know that we did not bleed the system in the correct sequence, right rear, left front, left rear, right front. So I guess that may have something to do with it. not sure....

Still does not explain why I am also getting the "service traction control" message as well. If anyone has any thoughts on that I would appreciate the feed back.
Used the scanner to cancel the codes, which it did. Then shut off the key, turned it back on and ………. drum roll please.... the codes came back.
If I pull the sensor that is located under the brake fluid reservoir, the codes go away. Once I plug it back in the codes come back.
Possibly a bad sensor, or could the magnet be the problem? We used the coat hanger trick on the magnet to get it to move up and down, but I cannot tell if it is working or not.
