Is a 2000 c5 EBCM Pump Available ? (NOT the module)
This sucks and yes I know this is not easy BUT regarding 2000 C5 EBCM replacement.
I am told that I JUST need the actual pump NOT the module. Is the pump specific ? I see some on Ebay.
The shop checked the ground to the pump (it was good) and then energized the pump directly without the module to see if the pump would in fact run. As mentioned prior the pump only ran for a split second (sounded very weak) and then shut off not to come back on.
Is it possible to obtain JUST the pump ?
Thanks for everything guys, I am THAT close to finishing my 622 rwhp build !
Should be easy to find the pump assembly (BPMV - brake pressure modulating valve or something like that). Lots of people scrapping cars and selling the electronics which are in big demand, but there is not nearly as much demand for the pump.
You would think that the pump would be an easy fix but we shall see, AHP tested the module and says that part works fine.
I can get a pump/module for like $2k BUT if anybody knows if any kind of pump would work I would be forever grateful.
I see some on E-bay but do not know the commonality.
I have a pump off of a 99 available. Got it and the ebcm as a package. Unfortunately the ebcm is not good but the pump appears to be good. I'll let you have it for $100. PM me to make arrangements. I am over by Disneyland.
I have to believe that the actual pumps are interchangeable but I trust AHP and they indicated that is was not possible to repair/replace (?)
I will bounce off of them right away.
