I have a 1998 C5 with 68,000 miles. It wasn't running for some time and I had to replace the battery and starter to get it going. It is running good know, however when I accelerate over 50 mph the ATS kicks on and I can't accelerate. But if I turn OFF the ATS it has no issues, it will accelerate normal and drive normal. It is stock besides some after market wheels and tires, I am wondering if it is the tire sensors? I have recently cleared the codes and it is not showing anything at this time. Is there anything that I need to fix? Or just turn off the ATS when I am driving it?
What is your specific rim/tire sizes front and back? My first thought is the stagger ratio front to back isn’t quite right which will make AH/TCS to act up.
I believe your tires are the issue. The rears appear to be shorter then the fronts based on the sizes you provided. Rule of thumb is that the rears should be 1/2-1” larger in diameter then the fronts

Your EBTCM must be less sensitive than the one in my 97. That would shut down forward motion of the car with the rear tire being that much smaller than the front tire. With the engine idling and TC turned on It would stop the car from coasting down hill with the transmission in neutral and the clutch disengaged. The stock rear tire is 275/40/18.
