Default Window an tonneau cover electrical issue

Hope someone can help......I'm thinking Body Control Module

I couldn't get the tonneau cover to open electrically on my 2000 vert,to put up the top, hit the button and nothing.....
I put the drivers and passenger window up and hit the button and both windows went down, still no good on the tonneau cover.
Repeated above window up procedure, windows went down, tonneau worked and I thought I was good.........
Then neither window would go up to up and the tonneau inop..........
Now the passenger widow works, will go up / down with drivers door or passenger switch and with the tonneau button but the tonneau cover wont electrically open
It seems to be intermittent, something works then doesn't, leave it for a day and the tonneau works.

With a previous turn signal issue (turned out to be 2 bad relays) I pulled and cleaned "every" ground contact on the car 6 months / 200 miles ago and am confident that since its not been in the rain etc that the grounds are all still good

Anyone have a thought....... I'm lost when it comes to the BCM area on this

I did try swapping the relay, #41 is the tonneau relay in my car Omron PN 12088567
I swapped original "A" for another "B" and tonneau worked, swapped A back and it continued to work, then it didn't....
Swapped A back to B and it worked again (still no drivers window)

Have you seen issues with relay failure in mass..... the directionals drove me crazy as I had swapped left right relays and then it turned out to be 2 bad relays.
When I went to GM they said the original Omron 5 pin directional and backup relay had been "updated"

Sorry, said fuse but meant relay !!...been a long day...LOL !!!...you may have some loose connections inside the fusebox !!...look at the relay and see if you notice wear marks on the 4 posts !!..you may be able to get in there and bend them a little if they are loose !!

the funky thing is that when the tonneau is inop, the tonneau switch itself always puts the windows down (passenger only now, drivers window has yet to come back to life)

Update........

out of frustration I tried this fix I found on the forum, a 2007 post... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-easy-fix.html for the drivers window stuck down.......
I didn't think it would work but holding the window button in the up position and smacking the armrest fired up the window ......... win 1 for the day
I'm going to replace all the 12088567 relays, it looks like GM has upgraded these to 19116057 35 amp
Current GM P/N) 19116057= (Current ACDelco P/N) D1786C
Replaces and Supersedes The Following GM #'s:12135170, 15393412, 19115080, 13502679, 12088567, 12135034, 12193606, 89046660,12193606, 89046660, 19115083, 15328866, 19116963, 13500127, 13500114

I'm looking at my wiring for my '01 but I don't see how the windows interface with the top ???...and as far as relays go it's best to use OEM as well as all the cars sensors !!...I can send you the wiring for an '00 for that circuit if you'd like later on !!...looks like the BCM is controlling the ground to complete the circuit through the coil side of the relay...see if your C1 connector at the BCM pin B12 is a gray wire...if you disconnect that harness connector and take a 12 volt test light connected to battery positive when you push the top release switch the test light touching that gray wire terminal it will light if it's grounding the circuit !!

C5 Diag
On the convertible if the windows are up, and you hit the tonneau release button it automatically drops both windows so they cant interfere with the lowering / raising of the top neat feature.
the fact that the tonneau worked, didn't work on relay swap tells me to change them all
window wise, I had banged the door to jar the motor previously but that didn't work, banging while holding the up button got it to go.
I cannot tell if I've cured it or simply postponed something
thanks for the reply's any and all feedback helps

Hi there - I am having the exact same issue. My Tonneau button quit working...then the windows would go down but the latch won't pop. Did replacing the relays fix your issue? And did you use the updated GM part numbers?

Wait - stupid question here but are all these relays either in the fusebox under the hood or the one in the pass side footwell?..'cause damn that would be an easy fix.

Having same issue here, and wondering if you replaced your relays and solved the problem?
