I am looking at buying some new wheels for my 02 z06. Was hoping someone on here might be able to help as I am not familiar with backspacing and offset and what it issues it will cause.
18/18 set I am looking at currently
18x9.5 offset 54
18x10.5 offset 56
Will these work with my z06?
Also if I were to go with a 18/19 combo what offsets would I need? All the charts I look at for the c5z06 just show the factory wheel size with factory offsets.
I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question I just don’t want to order a set of wheels and realize they look really bad or don’t fit due to my ignorance in wheel knowledge.
The offset and rim width work hand-in-hand, diameter is irrelevant when referring to offset/backspace. The setup you mentioned should work, but the wheels will sit inwards of the wheel well a bit. For reference, my current setup is a 9.5” rim up front with a +44mm offset and my rear is 10.5” with +48mm. Those offsets give me a perfectly flush fitment. With positive offset, the lower the number, the further the rim face moves towards the outside of the car. So the rims you listed with +54mm offset up front will be approximately 10mm further in then mine and the rear at +56mm will be 8mm further in, aka close to stock fitment. Does that make sense? Here is a photo of my fitment
I'm running the factory ZO6 wheel 10.5 wide and +58 offset, they slightly stick out of the fender (295/35-18). Just look at any factory ZO6 car. A + 48 offset will stick out even further, given the same size tire. OP talk with house of wheels forum vendor, They will have an answer. Ron B.
