They make replacements for most brands of vehicles
Played around with a Gen 1 knockoff debating an LS1 piece.

Guy I know is a major distributor, no brand per se.
Theres bad stuff that comes from there and decent.

As always buy them bare and build...nobody here has gone down that road?
Picking up a 6.0 next few months didnt think spending to go through GM heads was worth it and spending on afrs for an old truck was worth it either.

Yup. Most are Dart knockoffs. Was real pleased with results from a Gen 1 piece I finished (in the parts section)
I may just pick up a set and share the journey with you guys, I always get them flowed.

Im a name brand ho like most of ya but am intrigued by this particular line/mfr..they are pretty decent I have to say overall.
Wont be a max effort deal as Im strictly looking for tq but the fun is seeing what they do . Ill point out any "that sucks" stuff too.

WHats interesting is finding there are knockoffs of those, too lol. Lots of parts in this industry are not what you think they may be when you find out where it all really comes from do your research.

where you located? Im thinking now to just swap to ls6/ls2 heads and sell my ls1. They do need cleaning, i assumed the valve seal are wasted and have btr set ready.

I'd buy used OEM castings before any knock off casting.

polo this particular supplier has pretty decent stuff....are factory better in some ways yes
Have to move next month or two but think Im going to pick up a set and possibly do some up for my truck. Shortblock is old so if the worst happened its no loss. most of the stuff on ebay or various sites I wouldnt touch.

Even if I had to put guides/re valve job it still worth it to me in this application.
Would I love a set of AFRs or trick flows sure but $ is tight and could care less if I hurt a 200k mi bottom end.

true but most of those 799/243 are not from a c5 corvette ls6 and have a different exhaust port shape as well as casting.

In my search i only came across 2 sets if 243 from a ls6 but started price at $500.

Yes people have to be careful in what they are looking for if they want original parts. Research the specs before buying.

Ebay ...There is a seller look for this description 243 gm performance heads. They have a 6 month warranty to match as well Here’s all I could grab from my eBay castings are as described 243! In the item description it will and should state gm performance head!! Those are the light weight sodium valves they do not come with valves I bought zz performance hardened push rods stock length you will find them good luck looking !
