Anyone replace their horn with something more exotic? I would like to replace my run of the mill GM horn with somthing more exotic. Any ideas or suggestions?
You can have mine if you want. It sometimes will go off for no reason in the middle of the night...just starts blaring. It really adds excitement to my life, having to jump out of bed and run out side in my underwear to open the door and give the horn a slap to stop it. :mad :cuss
I had the fuse unplugged for a few months, then plugged it back in a few months ago and had the problem again over the weekend. Out it comes. This thing is going to the dealer soon.
Sorry if I hijacked the thread.
Get one of those horns like the roach coach catering trucks have. Plays La Cuckaracha or something.
I recently purchased a set of Hella horns, which are made in Germany, from Griot's (www.griotsgarage.com) for $69.95. They are fairly loud (118dB) and made of durable metal casting with a nice red and black finish. I was going to install them on the Vette but winter came in and I ended up installing them on my Chevy Tahoe. They sound nice. I will probably order another set for the Vette next spring and install them when I take her out of storage. :yesnod:
