I jumped in my C5 after it was parked a week. Immediately I noticed the steering was hard. I have an MGC I know what no power steering is like. So, I stopped there in the driveway and ran my diagnostic codes. Up came B2583, P1637, and C2120. I've read up on these particular codes and I don't see any correlation with them and the power steering. Any theories on any of it before I head down the wrong path?
Yes, thank you. I was suspicious of all of those seemingly unrelated problems showing up while the car was shut down and parked, but you are right to point out that the power steering pump and resevoir are a logical first place to start. As a Corvette novice 1st Class I quite often need a nudge in the right direction.

I would check power steering reservoir and check the level fluid to see if it is at the correct level or not. Also you can check if there is any leak somewhere. Not sure but you can refer this link code to see.

Well, I found the biggest part of my problem...my own inexperience and stupidity. But, I've learned a lot more about my C5 along the way. Thank you everyone for the advice. Just to recap, the major problems noted by the Error Codes were an alternator problem plus I had no power steering. I was racking my brain to figure out what linked the two. Well, I found It. I had thrown the main drive belt. I realize that the belt didn't come off on it's own but thanks to the Forum I am on my way to replace both belts, the Harmonic Balancer, and the tensioner. After 53k miles it's about time anyway. Again, thank you all.
