C5 easiest stereo upgrade (double din)?
I’d like to introduce myself, My name is Rich and I’m new to this site. I am also on other car forums, Mercedes, Jaguar.
I would like to ask the members what is the easiest nonintrusive upgrade to my stereo system using double din system with touch screen. I understand ill need the center double din converter. I just want a replacement system which does not require a complete tear out/install. I’m hoping to find a receiver which can work with the stock speakers and such. From what I’ve been able to find is the Alpine iLX-w650? There is a complete kit on ebay with the dash kit and above stereo system & wiring harness and antana adapter. My question is does anyone know if this stereo is compatible with the stock speakers/amp? Other ideas are appreciated as well, please keep in mind I am not looking for a blow-out killer upgrade.
