Default Differential Rebuilder/ Replacement

Looking for best options to rebuild/replace 3.42 Differential for M6. 2003 Model, so it's a 3 rib.
I've looked at Zip Corvette options. And RKT, RPM as well.
Really just want a "stock" type build, but with upgraded bellville washers and C6 shafts.

Please give me some options !!! Thanks !!

If you're not trying to replace the ring and pinion or change the critical setup with a C6 pinion support, the rebuild can be done yourself pretty cheap. C6Z shafts will run you about $300 for both sides, and the upgraded bellville washers and C6Z clutch packs about another $450. There are a few pretty good write ups that show you how to do everything.

If you don't want to do it yourself, I'm also a fan of Murica Performance rebuilds. Jared has helped a lot of C5 guys out

Thanks for the info !!! I'm going to pull the diff.. But I don't want to do the internals myself.
I've got the really bad R &P whine.. Its shot... It's my Friends' car with low mileage, but he's not the orig owner.
So I need to find someone to send this to or do an exchange rebuild

Yep, that's them. Jared Allen on facebook is the owner/operator and is pretty easy to get ahold of. Lots of satisfied customers and he has some of the lowest prices from what I've seen

You might want to try sending a PM to tracdogg2 (Mike Dyer) out of Garland Texas. If he can't help you, he will know who can.

It appears Mike hasn't posted in a while, has anyone heard from him lately?

Rick Kim of RKP does and excellent job. He will build it as mild or wild as you desire!
If nothing else give him a call and pick his brain, get a couple rebuild/price options and make your decisions after that.

He is good people!!

Another vote for Rick, he rebuilt my diff and I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience.

Follow the break in instructions. It matters. You don't even need to ask me how I know.

While you're at it, a little extra gear is lots of fun. Good luck.

Adding a 3rd vote for RKT...

If you're going to have differential work done, it's not a bad time to consider a different gear set. I went with a 3.90 rear from Rick about 5 years ago and have been extremely satisfied with it ever since!

Best of luck!

Jeff

I considered 3:90's or a different 5th gear in the trans. Has it helped your times? I felt talked out of it because it would require more shifting which can slow you down even though you may feel faster. Interested in you POV from someone who has done it. And because my driveline is coming out
