Actually the C5 is my business car. Yes, it is driven every day in a territory of Michigan and northern Indiana. It has hauled as much as 800 pounds of experimental engine parts (152 proto type engine balancers) from northcentral Indiana to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Then back to the customer. 321 miles each way. Also has hauled hundreds of pounds of broach tooling, precision gages and machine fixtures. Have made a thick cardboard piece that fits over my Loyd's rear mat. Keeps everything clean by absorbing cutting fluids and indents to hold things in place.
If you used your C5 for business and charged them a mileage rate of $.365 for 250,000 miles....that would yield over $90,000  Time to buyself a new Lotus or Viper for all your efforts!
But can those other cars do what a C5 coupe can? That 24 cubic feet of storage has been used more than once. Industrial computer systems have been cramed into the passenger seat. Interior will hold 8' long tubes with the hatch closed.

But of course...without a doubt keep the C5 too!! :D
Averages out to 4,800 miles between changes. It may run above or below that number depending how many miles I put on during a week. Usually change oil on Saturdays. My rule of thumb is that Mobil 1 should be at least twice as good as dino oil. With my other cars I would change at 2,000 miles. That was a lot of changing on my '95 Impalla SS that got up to 330K miles before I sold it.
HOLY COW!!! Talk about getting your monies worth. :yesnod: Is you car completely stock? Gosh, I've got an '01 that's about to turn 9,000 miles and I cringe everytime I see the miles racking up! Actually my dad & I picked the Vette up on 11/04/00 as a 2001 model.
I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for the low mileage, but I can't bring myself to drive the Vette in bad weather.... That's what my Mountaineer is for.
