My '99 coupe with auto just turned 250K miles today. The following are by the numbers. 52 Mobil 1 oil & PF44 filter changes, 19 A917C air filters, new AC spark plugs @ 142K, new GM shocks @ 181K, new belts @ 205K, new brake pads @ 223K (original rotors never turned). Still original: battery, coolant, trans & diff fluids. MPG = 29.546. Including the original tires: 4 sets of fronts, 3 sets of rears (all GY EMT), one set of GY EMT snows with 28K that will be remounted today. Five alignments (more than all my previous cars combined).
Wow. Those are some nice stats. Thanks for gathering that info. Just goes to show how long the new types of motors will last and cars in general if maintained.
WOW Those are great stats  That puts a big :D on my face!!! Hopefully my vette will provide me with close to the great service as your C5 has. This is truly a testiment on how providing proper maintaining on something yielding great returns...
I hope she provides you with even greater service.
I was wondering how far my 99 A4 would go before conking out but now I have nothing to fear. How strong is your engine now as opposed to when it was new?
Michigan is nice and flat. Put it on cruise & drive all day on the interstates. Only time I have to brake is when I get off and visit my customers. Actually, I do break more than that but I log so many highway miles that it just seems that way.
