Default Gear Shift Cable Snapped - Towing Issues

'04 C5 stuck in park - in garage. No luck finding a towing company in North Texas with tire dollies.
Suggestions on getting it in to neutral or towing companies in DFW area that will be equipped to tow?

If you need to reposition the car, engage the emergency brake, jack the left rear up to gain access to the transmission from the driver's side and moving the shifting lever, manually change to Neutral. Disengage the emergency brake, push the car to a better position and when you're done, engage the emergency brake again.

Usually the cable is fine and is just a broken bushing at one of its ends.

Even though most probably only 1 gave up, this is a call to replace bushings at both ends.

All that's needed is the
Dorman 14057 Dorman 14057
kit. Use the white bushings (the orange ones are for Ford):

And
shows how to do it.

This is very doable and it's just a few bucks and a couple of hours to change the bushing at both ends of the cable, taking your time

I clicked on your link, and in the Q & A at the bottom of the listing, the Dorman engineering team responds to a question by answering that the Dorman 14057 doesn't work/fit on a 98 Corvette. I'm confused! Have you used it on a Corvette? Does it work?

Yes, it fits. I used it to repair mine. It is an exact match.
