Hi,
I'm replacing the shift and e-brake boot along with the swapping out the shifter to a c6. Is there any real benefit to adding insulation in the area where the console sits? I've seen some users do this and I'm wondering if I should do the same while I'm in there.
I do notice that it does get hot under the console after long drives.

Added the Crazy Cowboy kit to front of my car when I did upholstery and carpet. In the console area pretty much just foil faced foam insulation. Brought the console temp down markedly. Very worthwhile investment in time and money.
