Can Scan Tool Change Cool Fan Temps?
hey all,
I heard that a scan tool can change the temps at which my '01's low and high speed cooling fans kick on. my coolant temp sometimes runs too close to 240 for my liking. anybody else feel the same, or know best way to solve this? also, is 220+ normal for oil temp?
someday i'll be smart enuf 2 help green peeps like me.

Some of the high-end scan tools that have bi-directional controls are able to do that on a C5. I had a computer based software from Ease 15-18 years ago that I performed that with my C5. Around 2008 I sold that computer to a club member and went to EFILive scan/tune system.

My Tech 2, Autel MS906, and Snap On Verus D10, all birectional...no can do...yes, you can turn the fans on and off but not change the temp settings !!

The first thing I suggest is to back flush the radiator / condenser cooling fins. Do that first then investigate cooling fan mods.
