Default Headlight alignment broke

I was attempting to realign my headlights because they were not alignment properly and it was leading to terrible vision at night. I plan to get some led bulbs soon but it does me no good until i fix this issue.

When I turned the screw end to change the alignment of the driver side light, the acre end snapped off. Is there another way to align or what piece do I need to replace? I’m not sure what that would be called or where I can find one.

thanks

Default Broken headlight adjustment.

Vertical adjustment? Long screw. Available here under "C5 Parts" or on e-pay. Weak design.

You will assemble a new one using the parts from the kit and reusing the gear portion of your old golden rod. The step-by-step directions are in the link I gave you.

It is a DIY kit:

Original and new one side by side:

Thank you, sir! . Glad to be of help, but actually, the merit is mdkenz06's. He was involved in this with Rodney Dickman. I'm just passing the info along

Wow. Very good info from GCG. Amazing how certain things fail across so many cars. I barely touched mine while replacing a headlight motor and it snapped off. These things are so brittle.
