They do make a USB OBD2 simulator that's around $100 and does everything the tech 2 does. Some people here have reviewed them and use them for all sorts of stuff and have said they're wonderful. If I didn't own a Tech 2 I would buy one in a minute. The Tech 2 is only about 275 now shipped.
I would let you use mine but it's a bit out of the way from your trip home from work.

so this thing plugs to obd2 and usb to laptop right? Thanks... can delete my magnetic ride?
I’m also interested if these devices are able to do this. Wanting to change my suspension and shocks to something like the Johnny O’Connell system, cause my dang magnetic shocks are weeping.
