I have a bit of a situation I had my oil changed about 500 miles ago or so miles ago 2 days ago I took it on it on a drive as I got off the highway and came to a stop my oil pressure dropped significantly to the point where a lil tapping sound could be heard so my Instinct was to pull over and turn it off I called a tow truck bc I didn’t want to risk it and drive it home so maybe I thought I was leaking oil but that wasn’t the case so I changed the oil and oil filter and it seems now I get a higher oil pressure and it won’t drop but once the car warms up the lil tapping sound comes back but it’s only when the car warms up
You want 10psi for every 1000 rpms is a rule of thumb. (there is a valve that prevents over pressure and a LS1 in normal condition should be 20+ nearly all the time)
If its above that I'd suggest 1/2 a can of STP and see if it stops.
If its below that I think you have mechanical problems.

a can of stp what is that I’m sorry might be a dumb question
Okay thank I’ll be sure to try that and hopefully it goes away
The only other thing that it could be is your oil pick up is coming loose and pulling air. There's an o.ring there and if it comes loose that's the start of it and will eventually get worse. Be careful because that will toast your engine.
You can find the source of the tapping with a stethoscope If you feel you need thicker oil to get the pressure up run Rotella 10W-40 non synthetic rather than STP.

I have good pressure now that I have changed the oil but the tapping has not left I’m assuming a lifter collapsed since their wasn’t enough oil when the pressure dropped I will upload a picture of the oil pressure at idle but I have put the stp in the oil but the tapping seems to come back when the motor warms up
