Had Callaway Honker installed, now seeing codes. P0101, Cleaned MAF and replaced insulating grommet post air filter. Now throwing P0171, P0174 as well as P0101. I can clear codes but idles rough. Runs fine on the road otherwise. Could the MAF be bad? 60k on the clock. Ran fine prior to Honker install. Do I need to have it Dyno'd? Do I need to replace MAF? Bummed that these codes are popping up. 2004 C5 MN6. Only modifications is a Corsa cat back system and the new Honker install. I keep seeing mention of resetting? Not sure what that entails.

I doubt the Honker has this issue, but...issues can pop up after intake installs because of how sensitive/precise the MAF is with its measurement (changing position of the MAF inside the housing, moving it closer to or further away from the TB, etc). If you cleared your codes, you'll need to get some drive-time on it so the OBD can perform its readiness checks, and so that the PCM can learn the hardware change. You shouldn't need a re-tune for an off the shelf intake, but it could take a tank of fuel worth of driving for the PCM to adapt. You can "short cut" the idle relearn procedure by leaving your battery disconnected for a while - then let your car idle for 20 mins (10 without AC, and 10 with AC on).
MAF was relocated next to TB. Work performed at a Corvette Shop. When the first code P0101 showed up I noticed shop had broken the "insulating grommet" on the air box, post filter. Found a grommet to fit, was sucking in raw air from engine compartment. Cleaned the MAF and reinstalled. Code still present with a couple of friends P0171 & P0174. I'll give the disconnect battery , reconnect and idle a try. I'VE LOST FAITH IN THE SHOP I TOOK IT TO. I'll be seeking another shop in SoCal to resolve if need be. I'll also check vacuum lines for leaks. I feel I've been sabotaged.
I have a 04 with manual trans. Car was fine until I installed a Vararam.I also get p0171 and p0175. No leaks and cleaned the MAF. The only fix is a tune. You need to look at your fuel trims. I bet they are at +25. The computer thinks it's lean and is making the car run rich. The computer won't adjust the trims any further than that so it sets the lean code. I have a Diablo Trinity and I'm able to adjust for it. Once I made the adjustments no codes and fuel trims come in to where they're supposed to be. Not sure if I'm totally happy with my solution but I'll eventually get a real tune.
Naturally those codes would be going off because somethings up with the MAF or wiring ! Do you install it back the right way ? The screen should be towards the bumper and the split is vertical up and down! Any pictures where the maf is ?
MAF relocated per Callaway instructions. When I pulled it for cleaning it appeared clean. Cleaned it anyway. That was before it started throwing the lean codes.
