C5, 1998, Starting problems and weird diagnostic codes
Hi Everyone,
I have a 98´C5 witch have been stored for 13 years before I bought it. (Inside a warm garage)
I have tried to start it but came across some problems. The engine turns on the starter but it doesent get a spark. Before you start the needles in the cluster should move to max and then back again, they dosent make that move either...
In the DIC, I receive messages like;
Pull key, wait 10 seconds
Reduced engine power
Service Traction control
Low fuel
Low voltage
Diagnostic codes witch i can´t erase are:
28- TCS
C1255H C
C1276H C
40-BCM
B0432H
U1255H C
99- HVAC
B0446 H
AO-LDCM
B2264H
BO-RFA
U1000H C
I have cleaned the chassi grounds and tested with a new battery.
Does someone now what it can be or where i shoud start to troubleshoot?
Welcome to the Forum !!...we see you’re from the country of blondes...LOL !!...with those “U” codes you are seeing plus the crank no start you “MAY” have issues with the serial data bus which allows the cars modules the ability to communicate with one another...are you seeing the fuel gauge go to empty and the engine water temp max out ??...are your power windows working ??...best to have a scan tool to see what modules you can’t communicate with...not knowing your abilities or what kind of equipment you have it may be beyond your abilities...watch this video and you see that at least a multimeter as a minimum is required to troubleshoot this...in the videos these 2 “splice packs” are where all the module communication is shared...if a module looses power or ground power or ground can back feed and jump on this data line...this is what you’ll see !!
