Serpentine pulley movement
Last night I was out admiring the beauty and i cranked up the motor ,to get the oil thruout the motor,hadn't driven it in about a week, and I noticed the serpentine belt pulley that is directly connected to the crank shaft wobbled a bit,about a 1/16 to not quite an 1/8 ,(I was looking at the ribs that interface with the serpentine belt )Is this something to be concerned about??Thanks in advance to you motor pros !! I'll sow it to the dealer next time I go in. :chevy :seeya

I think all Vette drivers are alike. I noticed the same thing one day when I was checking over my car while it was running. I asked the same question on the board. Most were adamant that it is NOT normal for the Harmonic Balancer Pulley to wobble. I was told I should get it replaced ASAP. Being one not to miss the opportunity to upgrade, I installed the APS Under-drive pulley. No more wobble.
I'd plan on changing it out.

Mine runs out a bit, you can see the belt tensioner moving as well. Since the pulleys are on the outside of the rubber damper some runout can be expected. I marked mine a long time ago with some paint to make sure the outer ring wasnt moving and it hasnt. I have had four LS1 cars and all the stock damper pulleys have 'wobbled' a bit, this car is the worst but I'm not too worried about it...
