coolant sensor quit working
I just swapped out a faulty oil pressure sensor on my 2000 C5 bone stock LS1. In the process, I accidentally cut the engine coolant temp sensor wires on the driver side cylinder head. I performed a quality wire repair, with shrink wrap. The sensor works properly when the ignition key is in the "run" position, but the engine is off. When I start the engine, however, the engine temp gauge jumps up to 260*F, and the DIC says "ENGINE TEMP xxx*F"
Anyone have this issue before, or have any clues for me?
