Default Drive Train Rebuild

I have a 2004 6spd Manual with 235K on the odometer.
Got the drive train out finally after fighting it for several months on and off. I have a vibration that I think is the torque tube couplers so I'm planning to rebuild that. The tranny is supposedly rebuilt, though the quality of the rebuild is questionable, however, it does work okay for now. I'm planning to get Murica Performance to rebuild the diff. (If someone has the guy's phone number and could post it I'd appreciate it). The rear upper and lower A-arms have been replaced by a shop due to worn bushings at roughly 175K miles so I think I'm okay there. The only other thing I can think to rebuild/replace is the rear diff mount and the sway bar links.

If anyone has any suggestions on what to do "while its apart" I'd love to get your input. This is a daily driver but I probably will rebuild the motor in a couple years with some performance upgrades.
Thanks a bunch !!

If your pulling the drive train, you should consider the clutch, pilot bearing, hydraulics, complete TT rebuild, rear differential seals, etc. I just went through this exercise before Christmas and everything turned out great! My drivetrain is quiet once again and my clutch feels factory new. Here is a thread I put up that wasn’t supposed to be an in depth deal but kinda turned out that way.

Be sure to mark all the torque tube components prior to disassembly. You want to keep it all clocked the same when it goes back together.

Supercharged111:
Yes, I read that the TT parts should be marked and reassembled in original orientation, thanks for reminding me, I had forgotten that.

CinciZ06:
I do plan to rebuild all the clutch parts while I'm in there. The guy that rebuilt the trans did a really poor job on the clutch and it's been chattering for the last 6 years. Just haven't had a place to work on it until recently. I'd like to do a mild upgrade to the diff. I read someone's post about C6 shafts I think, will have to do some more digging.

thank you both for the replies.

^^ what they said
- A good shop should be able to talk you through options on the diff. I recently had mine rebuilt at a local shop and they knew the options / cost / benefits forward and backwards. Made it easy.
- take your time on clutch setup, make 110% sure it's set up right, finger height measurement, shims if needed, torque specs, locktight, quality master / slave / bleeder, insulate the hydro lines and route them away from heat etc.
- Break it all in gently, the diff shop should give some pointers, important on the clutch as well

good luck!! and congratulations on all those miles & smiles on the Vette!

Look into replacing the rear main seal. This is the perfect time to do that.

All great suggestions.

Might I recommend a remote clutch bleeder - extremely useful and effective, in addition I hear much easier to install while the car is apart.

*If* you want to someday again rebuild the transmission, I recommend RPM Transmissions, not sure if they are a vendor here, however they implement fantastic work, and have tons of levels/options (check their website). Same goes for the diff, though they don't service all years of diffs, can call and talk to them about your situation and get some feedback.

Probably already aware, however need to replace the slave in addition pilot bearing with the clutch.
