How to remove power locks??
I'm reducing weight in my '99 C5 FRC Track ONLY car. Today I removed the door panels and windows. I was cautious about the power door locks. I built a BMW track car years ago and ran into the problem of the anti theft immobilizer connected to the door locks. So today I was careful and simply unplugged the power door lock wires, then tried to start the car......no dice. Plugged it back in and fired right up. So my question is, does the computer need reflashed in order to remove the power locks, or is there an easier way/trick to removing them??

Well it's not really about the weight, although those modules or whatever aren't exactly small. It's about removing the inside portion of the door so a cage can be installed. With so many full race corvettes this can't be a new issue. Maybe I should be asking this in the road racing forum????
