Default Outside Temperature Reading Issue

I just completed a mild restoration of my 2002 Corvette and have an issue with the outside temperature reading on the air conditioning display. I seems to show 69 degrees no matter what the outside temperature is. A/C and all display lights work fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

Make sure the harness connector is installed...if you disconnect it that is what you’ll see !!

Where is the harness? I did drop the engine to replace all the seals. Is it the thing that plugs in on the front passenger side near the radiator?

When I had this exact same problem it was the temperature sensor. It is on the front of the car on the passenger side. About a $28 part on eBay

Before you buy a new sensor, unplug the old one and clean the connector. They can get pretty grungy down there.

I cleaned it and still no change. I just ordered a new AC Delco/GM one on Ebay for $9. Thanks again to everyone for the help and stay safe!

Let’s hope it’s not a wiring issue...if it still doesn’t work after the sensor is replaced let us know !!
