This may be crazy but how often should I get my car aligned? I have 63k miles on it and its never been aligned. Never really seen a reason to have it done since I have not ever felt a problem. Now that I moved to Houston and seeing how crappy the roads are here I am thinking it has gotten out of whack. So part II of the question is, anyone know of a good place to get an alignment in Houston? Would someone like Firestone have a clue about working on a Corvette?
John,
You pose a tough question. One with many answers.
My opinion is to check the tires often. I check mine every month. If the tread is wearing evenly I would not worry about the alignment until you put on a new set of tires.
If the car pulls to one side or acts differently than usual, then have the alignment checked.
Buy a tread depth gauge. They are about $4.00 at parts stores.
I live in Ohio but was recently in Houston. While I was there I visited MTI for a dyno day.
The shop is very nice. I do not know for sure if they do alignments but I would definitely check there first.

Only do an alignment if you need it. I had a 91 Olds Bravada that I put 95K miles on and never did an alignment on it. If it hadn't been for a couple of large screws in the road I would have only gone through 1 1/2 sets of tires.
