Side mirror resistance values?

Side mirror resistance values?
Can someone with a service manual provide me with the resistance value range for the side mirrors?
My passenger's side mirror has gone crazy again and I don't feel like replacing it again. My thought is that if I disconnect the leads going to the potentiometers, I can wire is permanent resistors and "program" that position. Then the door control module will "see" the resistance and not move the mirror (it will always think it's in the "right" place). Worth a shot at least...
