Slow turning the engine
What's the preferred method for turning our engines over while working on them? Remote switch on the starter? Seems like a wrench on the crank would be hard to do with the rack in place...
The engine is still in the car. I've started taking it apart to find the source of a noisy lifter and I want to turn the engine a few degrees at a time as I check each lifter/pushrod/rocker arm/valve spring. If a remote switch is popular, is there somewhere besides the starter to attach it? Fuse/breaker box? Ignition switch? Thanks for your experienced advice!!
