Right or Wrong? Making PTFE AN Lines for power steering.

I cut the line, fit the jam, pushed the female head over it, lubed and slid the adapter on and tightened.
From the tapered design it would appear to pull or push the bung and line/braid into the adapter tighter. Or am I wrong and has it pulled away from the jam or bung piece?

I found my own answer. The factory cut lines from Hydratech are way long for where the pump is so I took the line apart to cut shorter and as I took the fitting apart (it appears to be reusable, I'd say) it appears perfect internally and the PTFE line was fully to the end of the bung as it should be.

You are making the low pressure side right?

For the hydratech these are both high pressure. One from the pump to the assist unit. The other from the assist unit to the rack.

I wasn't aware you could make high pressure PS lines at home. These are pretty high pressures and I assumed you would have a show custom crimp lines.

If two guys are raising questions, it seems prudent to call the manufacturers this week, though I am following the instructions 100% so far.

I'm the same guy lol.

On my 95 Camaro, a guy sold me a PSC deflowed pump (PS pump failure is common on those when racing) and a high pressure AN line custom made/crimped by a shop. For the low pressure return, I ran simple 3/8" rubber hose with hose clamps.

AFAIK, power steering high pressure lines are fairly high pressures. Just something to check. I'd hate to see you have a failure.

Just looking at TurnOne's website for a C5 pump...standard pump pressure is 1500psi which I'd assume is also through the high pressure line.

I did confirm that those lines are 2500psi rated aeroquip with Teflon and braiding. All good.
